I had the displeasure of being involved in two of my sales as a sales agent at Ackroyd Legal, my first buyers using Ackroyd Legal to act on their behalf for the transfer. Despite numerous attempts to call the designated counsel and email them to two separate files and two separate teams, both cases were at the very least undernourished and dissatisfied with the appalling service offered to them. The two separate chains failed due to Stirling Ackroyd`s incompetence and inability to provide timely service to their customers, resulting in the buyers losing their property purchase. If you are looking for a good lawyer who acts in your best interest and ensures that all the work is completed on time, and usually provides you with an update, ADVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. I really wonder if this person really exists. Apparently assigned as a promoter for my purchase, but didn`t answer a single call or email in TWO MONTHS! Calls and emails to their CompIaints team are also ignored. I would recommend staying away from this company, at least until it has solved its problems. I went with Ackroyd Legal for my apartment purchase and it was an absolute disaster. From the beginning, I basically received 0 contacts after paying the initial fee, after which it seemed like nothing would move/be resolved until I called dozens of times.
Emails are useless because 99% of them remain unanswered, the promised reminders will never materialize. It got to the point that the seller threatened to pull out of the sale if things didn`t continue. I finally finished the purchase and thought it would be the end. Unfortunately, a year and a half later, despite dozens of emails and phone calls to Ackroyd Legal, the management company still has not received the documents at the end, which means that I am not able to manage the fees of the management company / service that put me in legal and financial danger; In addition, Ackroyd Legal ignored the land registry`s notices regarding the transfer request. and the land registry now says it will withdraw the application unless Ackroyd Legal responds. I would legally recommend to anyone and advise everyone to look elsewhere. Absolute shame should be removed. I referred the matter to the Legal Ombudsman, but I thought I would try to resolve this issue by contacting the head of department.
I was totally ignored, no reminder. Now I have trustpilot and I am asking for more information. No one at Ackroyd ever asked what the problem was, it`s just a game for them once they have your money.
