At the end of legal training, you can transition to full-time employment, legal training, or a CILEx professional qualification. CILEX paralegals will be able to demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of the law that underpins the main areas of practice by completing the foundation phase of the CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ). In addition, interns on the CPQ Foundation stage must demonstrate their competence through their portfolio of professional experience and complete the first of the e-learning modules on ethics and professional responsibility. Evaluation of fondation CPQ courses – the next exam sessions will take place in January and June 2022. You can decide when you want to take the exam – you don`t have to choose the next session after your course starts. Exam fees: CILEx requires learners to pay the appropriate fee for each exam they take, regardless of the training provider they are studying with. While this pathway isn`t completely exempt from exams, it puts more emphasis on your work experience and you need to maintain a portfolio to prove that you meet the skills relevant to your period of study.

The success of the CPQ Foundation and the advanced stages will allow interns to participate in CILEX paralegal internships and advanced stages, respectively.
