Law Technology and Innovation Minor Qut

I was recently sponsored to attend a conference on technology and law in The Hague, Netherlands. As a dual degree student in Computer Science and Law, it was incredibly exciting to learn more about the connections between my degrees and how I can combine them in the future. There have been so many interesting sessions on how technology can be integrated into the legal industry, including AI, coding for lawyers, and blockchain technology. I was also able to network with students, academics and industry members from around the world. Our contemporary law degree prepares you to think about the future and allows you to take advantage of employment opportunities in growth fields or emerging sectors such as mining and resources, intellectual property and technology. The QUT (Hons) Bachelor of Laws prepares students to think about the future and take advantage of employment opportunities in growth areas and emerging sectors such as intellectual property and technology. The degree provides a solid foundation of contemporary legal knowledge and transferable skills such as critical analysis, problem-solving, and research that equip students for their careers. Students have the opportunity to choose elective courses that match their interests and can gain both practical and practical experience. Students benefit from meaningful connections with top employers in the industry and courses with leading and internationally renowned legal experts. Law students have the option to take the minor in Law, Technology and Innovation as part of their elective options. Our electives in emerging areas such as technology and innovation prepare you to anticipate and seize opportunities in growth areas.

Prepare for traditional and emerging areas of law arising from data collection and analysis, as well as technology. During your first year, you will be introduced to information technology through four main units, as well as tort law (no-fault negligence, damages and compensation systems), legal problem solving and criminal law. In your fourth year, you can choose a general law elective course to study alongside real estate law, administrative law, and evidence as you progress through the information technology major of your choice. The Construction Contract Management minor aims to increase students` awareness of the roles of construction contract management in the built environment field. It focuses on three broad areas of professional quantity measurement and cost engineering, taking into account the similarities and differences between quantitative survey and cost engineering. First, it takes into account what it means to be a professional, including image and status, fees, codes of ethics, professional competence and professional development. Second, it explores the ways in which professionals engage in employment, including conditions of appointment.
